A new up-and-coming gallery space has opened in downtown Flemington, NJ (about 30 minutes north of TCNJ). There will be an  Art Show and Open House on Saturday, August 23rd at 4:30pm.

FLEMINGTON DIY (Do It Yourself) is an organization whose mission is to inspire social change by fostering and cultivating projects that connect the local community with musicians and artists in Flemington. With the Ninety Main Project, we seek to provide a safe and creative space for the community to engage with a burgeoning local arts scene. Job description:
Designer will work on print publications, and some graphics for the web.
Mostly publications work. Mostly production work, with some creative
design. Tasks include: updating archival documents, by editing text,
changing photos, colors, layout, etc. Preparing photos for print,
preparing documents for print. Types of projects include: brochures,
posters, direct mail, postcards, invitations, ads, graphics for
specialty items, web graphics for e-mail and FaceBook, etc.

Job Requirements:
Meticulous attention to detail, and ability to follow directions and
work quickly and accurately a must. Must be able to use good design
judgment while under pressure of fast turnaround. Candidate must be
proficient in InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop on the Mac platform.
Quark skills a plus, but not essential. Experience with Word, Excel, and
PowerPoint helpful. Prior experience at an internship, design firm, or
printer, a plus. Minimum GPA of 3.5 in graphic design courses. Sophomore level OK, junior or senior preferred. Portfolio to be presented at job interview. Portfolio should consist of layouts, typography, and logos NOT illustrations, photos, or fine art.


Green Room Creative, a division of Green Room Communications, is looking for a driven, detail oriented candidate that is interested in joining our team as a Graphic Design Intern. The program provides interns with hands-on experience working as part of an agency creative team. The position is paid and/or interns may be able to receive course credit as determined by their university/college. Morello+Company is a strategic design and integrated marketing agency located in Butler NJ. We provide strategy, planning and communication collateral for brands and services across a variety of industry categories. We are currently seeking a design intern who is available to work in our studio 2-3 days a week. The internship will offer a range of responsibilities including design, production, administrative, comping and general support for the design team. Artist EdE Sinkovics is looking for a creative and motivated student who wants to build their portfolio and gain hands-on work experience. You are an energetic artist with a passion for green design/art. You enjoy designing interiors, sculptures, products, fashion accessories, and are comfortable with your skills to execute your designs.

EdE Sinkovics is an artist visiting from Hungary currently working with TerraCycle , Inc., to create beautiful art out of waste and garbage. Examples include sculptures and paintings made out of cork, old toothpaste tubes, cigarette butts, plastic bottles, and many other waste materials. Examples of his work can be found at and

You will be working at the TerraCycle office located in Trenton, NJ. The internship is unpaid but you will gain valuable first hand experience working side by side with artist EdE Sinkvoics. The internship will last two weeks, beginning ASAP. However, dates and times are flexible and we welcome anyone who is interested in volunteering any time with this project.

Ideal Candidates:

HAVE A DESIGN/ART BACKGROUND. Preferably industrial or fashion design.

ARE COLLABORATIVE BUT SELF-DIRECTED. You enjoy brainstorming with fellow designers, but are independent and resourceful, requiring minimal guidance.

You are not afraid of getting your hands dirty, and understand that your role will span both high-level and low-level duties, with some responsibilities being less glamorous than others.

YOU CAN TRANSLATE YOUR IDEAS INTO REALITY. You should be generative and conceptual, and understand how to turn your vision into concrete outcomes. You are comfortable at various levels of concept development—from Sharpie sketches to Illustrator files.

Seeking a student photographer to shoot a wedding, taking place this August. The wedding will be on August 8, 2014 at “The Barn” at Perona Farms ( in Andover, NJ.

We are looking for someone who has a true passion for photography and the ability to capture many special candid moments. The student must have their own equipment and to be on site from 3pm-10pm. A delicious meal will be provided.

We at “Artworks Trenton” are in search of enthusiastic individuals who would be interested in volunteering for this years epic 24 hour “Art All Night” event which we sponsor at the Historic Roebling Wire Works in Trenton. It includes 24 jam packed hours of creative madness ranging from artwork, live music, film, spoken word, kids crafts, interactive events, food trucks & more from Saturday June 21st @ 3pm until Sunday June 22nd @ 3pm. The event involves a great group of vastly talented people and we especially welcome and accommodate groups of volunteers who want to work at the same time. Volunteers will get a free T-shirt as well as the gratification of being a part of one of the largest art events in all of New Jersey. We are in need of 300 volunteers overall!
